He is supposed to have married Dobogesa, the daughter of Billung, King of the Vandals, and had two sons; 1. Ethelhard, King of the Saxons; had issue a. Albion, baptised as the same time as his cousin Witekind the Great, 785; b. Herman, slain by Charlemagne in 798 2. Werniche, King of the Saxons, died 768, father of a. Witekind the Great, the last King of the Saxons, conquered by Charlemagne in 785. However there are no contemporary sources that confirm his existence and he must be considered as totally legendary.
