According to the Medieval Lands by Charles Cawley, Walbertus died in 876. On October 17, 872 he is mentioned with his wife lady Aldburg, when they built the Wildhausen church for the souls of their parents Wilbert and Odrad. Lady Aldburg passed away in 880.
